Liberty Classic longbow

I'd love to hear more about the Liberty Classic longbow from those who have shot them.  I'm trying to round out my collection with a D bow and this bow really intrigues me.  String follow, slightly forward handle and available in a 2 piece all really appeal to me.  Please tell me more, reviews and pictures seem hard to come by.

I don't have a Classic but I love my Chief longbow one piece. I'm fortunate to have Alan live across town from me, been the best mentor and friend a man could ask for.

I don't know if you found this, but it's a thread from a few years ago when the Classic was introduced.  Some valuable assessments within of shooting the bow.  While I never got one myself, I have several of Allen's other bows, and love them all.  Allen's the best.

I have shot the Classic and the Chief.  What I liked about the Classic (a 54#, 68") was it started off lighter and poundage gradually increased until the shot. It was really smooth and a really sharp looking longbow.

In the end I decided the 64" Chief fit my needs a little better. I don't have a photo of the Classic but here is the Chief

Only posting this to show you the quality of Allen's bows. If you want a classic longbow, I would look at the three models he makes for sure. I suspect I will own one of them in the near future.

Hey Brad ,I just sent you some pics of a new to me classic I got in a trade.I've only had a chance to shoot it once since we got all this cold weather up her. I absolutely love it really well mannered.Its 66",46#@28". black glass with Boo cores and an Ebony riser.The workmanship is unreal.i own 7 longbows and all are slight RD or backset .This pulls so smooth the first 20" or so then gradually builds to its weight.I draw around 27-1/2" and this length is perfect for my draw.no handshock and very accurate,I.m sure you would enjoy one,I sure do.Hope this helps. I agree with the above post. You might lose a little performance with string follow, but those handling qualities are nice. Talk to Allen, he will help you find the right bow for you.

First time I've seen it with the straight grip, definetly don't like that, would have to be locator.  I need to sell a few bows so I can start shopping for real.
