Holm-Made Kingfisher
« on: February 18, 2017, 03:35:00 PM »
I called Chad Holm yesterday, and we talked for a pretty good while. Really nice guy to talk with, and really knowledgeable. I ordered a Kingfisher, and it's only going to take three weeks to get here. I'll post up some pictures when it gets here. The specs are going to be 64" and it's going to be 55@28

I have been debating a very similar purchase!  Same model, same length about 5 lbs lighter.  What wood options did you go with?  Definitely following this thread!

Chad builds some really good looking bows.    :notworthy:   Have read a ton of very positive feedback on his bows as well. Hopefully one day I will get a chance to shoot one.

You don't know it yet......but you dealing with one of the best!!!     Chad's bows perform with the best of them and better than most. He is easy to work with and twice I questioned his judgment but didn't say anything........I'm glad I kept my mouth shut.   :notworthy:   Osprey, River Runner and Goshawk have been on my rack, but I never shot a Kingfisher........yet.   :dunno:   I still have 6 of his bows, 3 have dual shelves.

The Kingfisher was my first custom bow and it was so easy and fun to talk to Chad.  The bow is phenomenal you will not be disappointed.  When I had mine built he told me something like four months so I thought I had plenty of time to save a little cash and work up the courage to tell the wife, three weeks later I got the call

I ordered your veneers from Troy.  Waiting on them.  We'll see if we can't scrap together something for you in the next few weeks.  Thanks,  Chad
