New RC limbs from Dryad
« on: March 03, 2017, 12:54:00 PM »
Most bowyers will spend the little development time available to work on the latest and greatest new top of the line limb. We are doing that but spent a good amount of time this fall working to upgrade our basic RC limb.

Our original design Epic RC and Orion RC limb has been with us for a long time and over the years the limitations of the design have diminished sales. The new limb is an update design that looks a lot like our top of the line RC limbs but will maintain a price of $450. It is offered as a base limb with maple cores only and will be produced in five pound increments from 30 - 55.

We will offer it in medium and long limbs to start with shorts and XLs to come later.

Performance numbers are as follows:

Long limbs on our 17” ILF riser for energy storage efficiency and also for speed.

SE/PDF28 = 0.992
SE/PDF30 = 1.072

Draw/Force curve incremental poundage increases slightly between 29” and 30”, and only slightly more all the way out to 31”. Plenty smooth for a 30” draw.

AMO speed (9 grains per pound at 30” of draw) = 196.9 fps

Excellent torsional and vertical stability.

Very nice addition to your limbs. Should prove to be popular.

Looks nice, price is nice also. I also like the numbers for the draw weight. As we age there are those of us who want to go down in draw weight but retain the performance of the heavier weights.

Thanks,  the "super" recurve seems to be the rage these days so this addition brings all 3 of our RC limbs into that category.
