« on: March 05, 2017, 01:41:00 PM »
i was just curious to see what head weight you guys think would work on a 30 inch 340 spine arrow with a bob lee exotic sig 54lb at 28 which is the draw length.
aim small miss small

My 52# bob lee can handle stiff arrows. Even with 250 up front my 390 ACCs are to stiff. 340 seems way to stiff to me

I shoot a similar set-up; weight, draw and arrow length. 175 grain head works best for me, but 145 grain works well also. Shoot both and you will find the one that shoots consistently better, and actually feels better on the shot itself.

I don't own a Bob Lee but set up a 53# recurve with 30",.340's and it took a 100 gr insert and a 300 gr broadhead/adapter,so 400 grs up front.

My guess is, the arrow flew straight?
