When I see golf on TV, it is obvious, when considering the sponsors and the adds, that mainstream golf exists in the politically correct globalist world.   Jack Nicolas escaped that world by going bow hunting and played much less golf, even though golf was his business.

I actually used to play golf for a brief period of time but found it super stressful and not very rewarding.

You can't go hunting with golf balls so none of the skills are transferable to other areas in life.

With archery I can hunt and feed my family, live off the land, and marksmanship extends throughout all weapons not just the bow.

On the other hand archery can be very relaxing and is a skill that can be used to do things like go hunting unlike golf.

Archery is also a lot cheaper and golfers are associated with the more "uppity" sporty crowd which is not my thing. Lot's of materialistic "modern" civilized people play golf of which I can not relate to since I'm not that kind of a man.

I like the archery golf idea, seems like it would be a lot of fun and more up my alley.

I voted for golf. Although a great stumping trip is a treat, I really enjoy golf.

I golfed a bit in year's past but never was very good at it.  Gave the clubs to my grandson and he uses them occasionally.

I get the idea of the social and economic assumptions surrounding golf but my own observation is that it is played across social stratas.

Back in the 70s a local guy made some tapered fiberglass arrows from Berkley fishing rod blanks.   i have never heard of anyone making arrows from golf clubs.

Since I'm in the woods a lot when I golf, I might as well be stump shooting.

I've actually gotten some bows from people that I've met while working at a course. The best 50 bucks I ever spent was on a Abbott longbow that I got from a golfer.

It really depends on the weather and the mood I'm in which I would choose. If I've been up since 6 mowing greens, then I'm much more likely to go shoot. I just get tired of being on a course and around golf all the time. Funny thing is I can shoot my bow for hours and never get tired of it.

I used to golf years ago but had to quit because the laces underwear was chaffing me .
