Kids Shooting...
« on: March 07, 2017, 09:01:00 PM »
This is just a random thread to show the next generation(s) of shooting.  I have two kids, a 3 year old daughter, Abby Lee, and a 2 year old son, Beau Wade.  Beau is always wanting to do everything I do.  Last year when we were at the Howard Hill I found a bowyer who sold cheap($20) self bows designed for kids.  I knew I had to get my kids one.

Disclaimer:  I get more excited than them while they're shooting.

Here are a few of my pics/videos.  I hope you enjoy it.  Remember to train the next generation.

Here is Abby Lee March 2017:

Here is Beau Wade March 2017:

A few random pics:

Follow through:  We're working on their form.  They just don't understand anchor and back tension yet..

I've had mine shooting since 3 or 4 and now my daughter is 8 and my son is 9 and they still love it. I recently got my son the Sammick Shadow from Lancaster an man its perfect at 25lbs. He just started archery with 4H an is wanting to shoot a local 3D this summer. I highly recommend blunts for their arrows. They love stumping an shooting plastic soda bottles.
Arise, kill, and eat.

I want to get them something a little better in the near future.  This bow definitely serves the purpose, but i've caught Beau Wade eye balling my bows and I think he is wanting something a little nicer.. ;)

I picked up one of those bows at the same shoot. My grandson is on again/off again at age five, but when he is on, he gets really fired up.
