How about we compromise and go bow fishing?

Yup. As Allen so succinctly put it, the stumps aren't going anywhere. This is what's known as a "no-brainer". Assuming one like to fish, of course.

My mother was from Canada and all her relatives stilled lived there so growing up we went up there on the lakes and fished every summer. This pretty well ruined me for fishing in Indiana - therefore voted for the bow.

I picked fishing. A few weeks in the spring or fall to chase steelhead or salmon on light tackle is addictive. I can stump year round and I do.

Yes, been shooting stumps, shooting suckers in the creek, and stalking first groundhogs of the season!
The mild weather has been nice!

If the walleyes are on a tear I'm on the lake.As Allen said the stumps will be there tomorrow, in fact I would be fishing the next day just in case the bite is still on.

If the walleye or jumbo perch are biting, then I'll definitely be on the water. If it's the middle of summer and there's a storm coming, I'll guarantee that I'll be back in the woods along some stream trying to catch some brook trout.

It's like asking where would you rather be, Treestand where big bucks are walking past every 20 minutes in very comfortable weather or ice fishing in a shack where perch are nibbling occasionally.

My fishing luck is par with my hunting luck....I'll go stumping. I always get at least one stump.
