Colorado shoots?
« on: April 11, 2017, 05:49:00 PM »
I can't help but be jealous after seeing all the pictures from the Kentucky tradfest. Is there anything like that in Colorado?  Never been to an archery event but it looks like a blast.

Don't know about size comparisons, but this one is in a cooler spot! It's a big shoot with lots of people and several ranges, vendors and specialty shoots like a battle clout etc.

Have never been to the High Country Shoot out here but it gets a ton of attention. From all accounts, it's supposed to be a blast. One of these years...

The High Country Shoot is great, based on comments from people who have attended from across the world, one of the best.

Joe and others, this year it is again just north of New Castle, Co on Buford Rd.  It was a lot of fun last year and I'm planning on being there again.  I believe last year there were over 600 shooters but with 6 courses it never felt crowded.  It is a premier shoot as far as I'm concerned and at an elevation of 9200 ft. is definitely "high country".

The High Country Shoot is a real gem.  A few guys and gals put in a shipload of work over an entire year to host an archers dream weekend.  Well worth the effort to attend.
