Anyone have a GN kickback on their 59 Kodiak?
« on: April 11, 2017, 08:49:00 PM »
For my new 59 Kodiak...I need to order a new GN quiver with the longer hood to cover Grizzly Broadheads. I was thinking about ordering the kickback for maneuverability and clearance. I'm just wondering what ti looks like? Does anyone have photos of that setup?
Thanks,

Not a 59er but similar profile on this Treadway longbow.  This is the kickback extreme with inline gripper.  So really not what you are looking for at all, but maybe it will help...lol

Biathalon man.   Have you shot the bow as it is shown ?  I have a similar set up I have tried ( and tried) on a Hill style and I can't keep the arrows in the quiver grips at the shot.  Probably just too much movement with the Hill style bow,

I had one on a Super D and had the same problem.  Just sold my last Great Northern, sticking with Thunderhorn and Selway now.

If it's not staying in the gripper you probably have the wrong size grippers. There's 3 sizes on a GN. I've never had that problem with the proper size.
Northern Mist Classic
Northern Mist Whisper
Northern Mist Superior

At one time I had the medium gripper on. Had a gt carbon, 2020, 2117 and a 11/32" woodie.  All of them would pop out, surely the gripper would have been the right size for one of those shafts.  Worked fine on radical R/D and recurve, but the D bow would lose them.

Not wrong size.  It was built for me at the show.  I love GN quivers, my favorite, but this one, on a Hill style, won't hold arrows.  I have not tried 11/32" woodies in it.  Maybe they will hold better.

I have never had that problem with other GN quivers, but I have never had one on a Hill bow, always one with a more substantial riser.  I will try the bigger arrows and see if I can make it work.

That must be why HH used a back quiver!

Yep, you Hill shooters (and self bows) are brace souls...

It's not the quiver!
