I just hope he ain't laying in wait when I get there in the early morn to hunt. Don't need another stress test yet.    :scared:

After we (I) settled down, he just went on down the fenceline and chased up a rabbit like nothin happened. Well, I guess he was right.....   :biglaugh:

This reminds me of a time I was making my way in the dark across a horse pasture that had Belgian horses .
When I started the horses were in the opposite corner .
One of them got behind me without me hearing it and with it's muzzle in the back of my neck .....PPPPPFFFFTT
I didn't need any coffee that morning .

I hunted a place where I had to cross a large pasture that had a lone horse in it.  I shared an apple with that horse one evening.  The next morning that horse came running up and nosed me in the back, knocking me down.  I got up thinking I was in for a fight, but no the old gal just wanted to say 'howdy'.  Later that morning I shared another apple before i crossed the pasture, she kept nudging me.  I found a handy high spot and jumped on her back expecting to get buck off.  She walked me to my car.  After that, I shared an apple with her and rode across the pasture, over a half mile, she hung around until I was going back and she would take me back to my car.  I think horses get lonesome when left alone too much.
