Zipper Z4 ILF limbs........my thoughts.....3 hour test
«

Just picked up a used set of Z4 limbs for one of my ILF set ups. Never thought I would have a set because of the cost
but I came upon a used set at a good price. I put them on my 17" Zipper Standard riser and twisted up a string. Set the brace at 7 3/4 and adjusted the tiller. Took them out in the yard at my target and let her rip. It feels just a bit heavier than marked [46# @ 29"] but not to bad. They are quick.......like real quick!!! I have had carbon foam limbs before and they all seemed to have an odd noise......not these. Very pleased and there seems to be a point where the static tips start move and it's like it lets off a bit.....really different. So far I'll have to say Mr. Dunn out did himself with this design.

Haven't tried them on ILF, but they are certainly exceptional on his bolt down risers.

Been working on getting this Z4 set up to work for me. I'm going to a club shoot on Saturday which is part 3/D, part stump shoot and part Muzzy blocks and who knows what else. Should be a good test for me and the bow. So far when drawn it feels a bit odd but seems to perform very well. We shall see.......

Went and shot the Z4's for about 3 hours today. I wasn't sure if these would be keepers at first. After todays session I can say these are not going any place. A whole bunch of different shoots, short long, crazy long, 3/D, aerials and much more. These limbs preform very well. Hard to the feel at first because there is almost like a let off when the static tips open up, but smooth all the way to 29+". Don't be afraid to try the Z4'S.

Thanks for your thoughts and shooting experiences. I have been eyeing a pair of limbs like the Z4 ever since I shot a Bear Mag riser with those style limbs made in Scotland.
I have seen the Z4's in 3Rivers catalog. They have for DAS and ILF. Maybe.....

Ron: You might get even more out of them with a lower brace height. I don't know what they recommend but my Morrisons like 7".

These Intrigue me big time. I wish I had the coin to do a good comparison between Dryads, Morrison, Border, and the zipper z4. But I don't fit in the dog house.

My Z4 limbs on an SXT riser like a low brace. I am bracing at 6 3/4 measured from the deepest part of the grip.
