Trad hunters near Harrisburg, PA
« on: November 01, 2007, 02:42:00 PM »
Started hunting with my selfbow this year, giving up the wheel until I get one with my stickbow.  I made several bows since Feb. of this year and will end up with 6 or 7 bows by the end of this year.  Just curious if anyone close by that has the seem interest.  Here's the bow that I'm using this year.

Hi-I drive for a company based in Carlisle.
One of our gate gaurds took me to a Fish & Game Club off RT11. We shot a really nice field course there.
I'm sure it's a 'members' kinda place but it would be worth the look ,as close as you all are.

Thaihunter - Lancaster Archery Club had a shoot last summer, Delta Fish and Game had 1 also. Plenty of All Bow shoots around!

Billy, I think you shot at my club. The archery course is very nice.  You have to be a member to use the archery course, but when they have 3 D shoot, its open for everyone.

I'm originally from Biglerville, not to far from you.  I'll be there over Thanksgiving spending my time between Mt Holly Springs, and Gettysburg visiting family and maybe flinging a few sticks.

If anyone of you guys make bows and want to trade, let me know.  I make red oak board bows, ferret style.

Joe,

There are a good many of us around the Lancaster area.  I'm up by Lititz. Couple from Lanc. Archery club are in Lanc. proper.

Send PM if you want to just get together to shoot sometime.

BTW, Carlisle F&G used to host a 1-day trad shoot. Man that is some club! Really enjoyed that course! Canoe and all!

Hey, Jimbo! Good to see you posting! Been too long!  :)

I hope all of you Pennsylvania guys/gals are able to make it to the PBS Gathering in Pittsburgh over the last weekend of March, 2008 at the Radisson Green Tree hotel.  There will be a BUNCH of trad folks/stuff there...

I will PM you Thai, as I haven't been able to get ahold of Terry to ask permission to put the link on here as it is on a different site.
