TGMM Update, Presence, and Youth Bow Program

Topic: TGMM Update, Presence, and Youth Bow Program

Due to the concerns, interest and unprecedented support (by both members and non-members) a couple of months past regarding our reinstatement of TGMM's Youth Bow Program Auction, we'd like to do a little info catch up here for all interested members of TG and TGMM.

Our 2017 Auction (the first in about 3 years)  was not only a fine success (highest total to date, due to interest and support of TGMM members) but it also resulted in some desired progress in other areas of discussion. We took in enough during the auction to make it possible to support our Youth Bow Program  for 2017 in a highly desirable manner - normally, a set of a bow (by Maddog Archery), arrows (from Bud B) and arm guard and tab (from Mike's Archery Leathers) per month will be available to TGMM to offer young archers (dependent on providers work loads, of course). Recipients to be chosen from any TG members submissions during (normally) monthly drawings held on TG, in the Z-Give-aways forum.

Also we now have a TGMM Leadership Committee of 3 members to field concerns, ideas, requests, suggestions, etc. to help ensure progress of our primary interests without loss of guidance and gaps in such things as our Youth Bow Program (and annual auction), our re-instated and continued support of the Annual St, Jude Auction on TG by offers of Memberships in TGMM for a one-time donation to St. Jude Auction of $150.00, and other internal interests for TGMM members. For info, the Leadership Committee is made up of members agreed upon by the general active TGMM membership: Committee Leader, Mike Mecready (of Maddog Bows), and members Bud B (Blaylok) & ber643 (Bernie Dunn). Each Leadership Committee member to be replaced as needed when they no longer care to, or feel that they can't, continue to serve the group.

We would also like to take this chance to mention  the Pass Along bow gift part of our Youth Bow Program in the Z-gift forum. The "passing on", when outgrown, act is a very important portion of TGMM's Youth Bow give-away program. As are pictures posted (as requested) at time of initial give-away receipt/use, as well as at the time of passing on and receipt/use of a pass along bow. These pictures/postings here on Trad Gang serve as such an encouraging motivation to, not only our TGMM program and supporters, but also to all Trad Gang Members and young/perspective bow shooters - but are often overlooked or forgotten. Please do your very best to comply with these two simple requests when receiving a TGMM give-away bow , either as an original or as a "passing it on" gift. Please help (all of us) in our continual promotion and encouraging of youth involvement in trad archery and generous acts of paying it forward by means of quality Youth Bow Give-aways, etc. Thank you in advance from TGMM, and perspective young archers.     :campfire:
