I think that maybe everybody should review this Trad Gang policy which I have copied and pasted from this site...

The 3 goals of Tradgang.com are as follows ...
1. To offer a public access website for those that love the sport of hunting with traditional archery equipment - i.e., selfbows, longbows, and recurves.
2. To create a friendly atmosphere to all. Dedicated to the discussion of all topics that relate to traditional bowhunting.
3. To offer site links to traditional archery vendors that have their hearts and souls poured into the sport.

Tradgang.com has a zero tolerance for disrespect directed to anyone in the gang.

Thank you Terry for everything that you have done for us.

I couldn't agree more with these stated goals. I also appreciate the on-going efforts of those who manage this site. However, "Wow.....My turn!" began with the suggestion that there is some kind of dis-information campaign against basic site concepts that would have to be dealt with. It ran for I believe 5 pages before being closed. I, along with a number of other members asked more than once simply what specifically was going on? No one felt led to answer and explain and I for one still don't know what the problem is. There was not much unpleasant in the exchanges between members but absolutely nothing to answer my pretty simple question, what is this about?

Jim, in the Shooters Form Forum is a topic started by Terry "Do not post on this forum if.."  This will give you the gist of what was going on, although it wasn't limited to the item discussed in that topic.

The problem, as we all know, is that there is a lot of disinformation out there on the Internet.  Some of it pertains to archery.  People pick up on it and repeat it here and other places until it gets a life of its own.  One way of dealing with it would be just to refute it and ignore the inevitable backlash you are going to get, or you could just clean up the trash and throw it out, which is the path Terry chose.  Right or wrong, it is his Forum and he has the right to run it the way he wants.

Jim, I believe the issue was some folks were offering personal experience, while others were offering the experiences of others, which may or may not even be true (what with this being the internet and all). There were also some misunderstandings being offered as facts and some miscommunication. Most of it seemed to stem from a debate on draw weight, which gets often gets heated anyway (even though it shouldn't).

McDave, that does shed light on it and pretty simply as well. Thanks,  Jim
