Recommended brace height Jack Kempf Kwykstyk?
« on: June 20, 2017, 09:19:00 PM »
Got it used and string it came with set brace just under 7.5".  Got a new string and now have it about 7 5/8".  Better now but wondering if anyone knows recommended brace height or Jack's phone number? I wonder if it is still low?

Kwykstyk 56" recurve 45@28

Thank you!

Thank you.  Sounds like I am in the ballpark.  Just put a BCY X string with padded loops on.  I love it and now it seems even faster. Still not super quiet, I think it needs mole skin when string hits limbs or? Jack make a heck of a bow for sure!

If the bow is noisy, try loweering BH to around 7 1/4. Do you have static tips or regular recurve?

Mine was made in 2015 with 2 sets of limbs.  The limbs I shoot are standard recurve limbs that are pretty flat near the tips.
