Bob Lee vs. Robertson Fatal Styk
« on: July 08, 2017, 02:03:00 PM »
I know both are top notch and that it is personal preference. however,
If you've shot both....
which did you like better and why?
which is faster?
more forgiving?
other differences?
looking at the take down recurve models

PM me (or email [email protected]) if you have something to say you'd rather not post.
thanks in advance.

I have both take down recurves, and slightly prefer the Bob Lee, because of the grip.  Grips are like boots, the only thing that matters is what fits you personally.  I just attempted to post a picture of the Fatal Styk grip, but got a snarky message from Photobucket instead.  I guess that's what all the hoopla is about.

Anyway, the Bob Lee grip slots into the V between my thumb and forefinger like it was made for it.  The Robertson grip has sort of an angle to it that makes it feel like my hand wants to slide off to the left.  I'm sure if you have a favorite grip and send it to Robertson, they will be happy to duplicate it for you.

My Robertson is slightly faster than my Bob Lee, but not significantly enough that it might not be the other way around with someone else's bows.  The finish and workmanship on the Robertson seems slightly superior to the Bob Lee.

Bob Lee is definitely into heavy mass weight bows.  My Robertson is considerably lighter.
