Samick Sage set-up
« on: July 17, 2017, 07:35:00 PM »
Just got a Samick Sage for my granddaughter. Anyone have tips for the best way to set it up? Type of rest you have found to work best, etc. It's got the 40 lb. limbs. Having Daniel make a FF string for it.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

I used the Bear Hair rest and plate from 3 Rivers, and had Daniel make me a string too. Other than that I just started shooting!! Mine likes the BH right at 8''.

Same here with the bear hair rest and side plate. D97 string and 8-3/16" brace height. I have the 40# limbs but I draw a touch over 30".

I would find and arrow that is in the general spine range and start shooting.

Brace on this factory string was 7 3/4" just put on.. She shot it a lot like that tonight. She loves it. Taking all 3 of my granddaughters to ETAR.

Thanks!

I thought someone might be shooting a plunger since it is set up for one. Nice little bow! We were shooting too heavily spined 500 GTs.

She will really enjoy ETAR!

I have a string from Daniel Binkley. BCYX. I have velcro on the shelf and side plate.
Great shooting bow.
Good to see kids into archery. My 13 year old daughter is not very interested in archery, I dont push her though.
My son loves it.

FYI, the factory string is not pre stretched.  You will have to watch that brace height and keep adjusting it until you get the new string.

I have a 40# SW Archery Spyder which is quite similar. I too went the Bear Hair rest route from 3 Rivers. I shoot 30" 1916's with a 150gr head with it. Got one of Allen's strings and it is braced just a hair over 8".
