Cat Quiver Mini

Picked up a Cat Quiver Mini at etar for a really good price. Been wanting to try one for some time in my quest for the "perfect" hunting quiver. Any opinions or tips from those that use one?

Loved mine and still do but trying to dig an arrow out to get a second shot off cost me an opportunity at a very nice buck in Missouri a few years ago. I went to a Big Jim's style bow quiver to prevent that from happening again. Cat quivers are great for covering your fletching and keeping them dry

Protects fletching well, the idea of it is good but not user friendly as stated above. Wound up just being something else piled in the corner. I use a Cedar Ridge Stalker most of the time, It doesn't cover fletching, but doesn't sound like shucking corn trying to get an arrow out either.

I have a 3 & 3.5 and I really like them. I have no problem getting to the arrows both for a first or second shot. I really like that I can carry my arrows and some gear in the same unit.

I converted a "mini" to a side quiver. It is much more accessible / flexible that way. Can drop it, hang it or push it behind me.
The hood allows for partial protection for feathers at best. No big deal as I rarely will hunt in the rain...(learned hard lessons there)

I love the mini , I have 2 of them and it's one of 3 different cat quivers I have. If I use a day pack I will tie it to the side of the pack for easy arrow access. Then hang the pack in my tree where the quiver is easily accessible . I'm a big fan of cat quivers as they fully protect your arrows and get a quiver off your bow.

Really like mine. If you take a judo tipped arrow with you to the woods get the adapter (or make one yourself), that attaches to the base of the quiver to compensate for the difference in length between the broadheads and the judo point.

I liked the one I had except I could not sit down with it on without it pushing up and binding in the shoulder straps
If not for that I would have kept it
Having said that I must admit that I never found a quiver I liked
I use the Asbel quiver not not perfect but as close as I've found for me
It's down side is it won't hold Axis shafts so I'm back on the hunt

I have used a mini for years. I love it! My only suggestion would be to practice with it a lot. Removing and returning arrows then becomes old hat. Jon

Like them use them, strapped to pack as stated above. No problem getting arrow out, back in little tough but no big deal.
