Buying a bow
« on: August 03, 2017, 06:49:00 PM »
I just wanted to your feedback on what you consider a reasonable wait time for a response from a member that is selling a bow on Tradgang classified. The member seemed like they were wanting to move the bow quickly and I responded that I would buy it plus sent 2 pms and an email and haven't received a response. This happened about mid day yesterday (1pm) so I guess they could be away from the internet.

If you look at the PMs, it will tell you if it was read by the recipient. By checking this, you can at least tell whether the recipient has read your PMs. If the post has been read, I would give it maybe three or four days. The seller may be out of town or very busy. You may also want to send them an email.

Sometimes people work odd shifts or travel great distances to work. The seller will get back to you, just hang on a bit. I have had nothing but good results from the classifieds.

You paid to get access to safe classifieds and reliable sellers, same as he paid a fee to have access to honorable buyers here. I'm pretty sure that he will get to you pretty soon. Life is probably happening where he/she is.

If you find a better deal or bow before he gets back with you, his loss not yours.

I have to agree with james v. I wouldn't post one up if I couldn't check it regularly. Seems as if everyone has a smart phone.
