Feather rest question
« on: August 09, 2017, 03:38:00 PM »
When measuring your nock point using a feather rest, do you still measure from the shelf or from the top of the feather rest?
Thanks

I go from the feather rest on my Howatts. I have a 59 Kodiak Special and the feather rests I use are made by Trap and really are the best I found.
I also have two tie on adjustable nocks that I can screw up or down as needed.

Nocking point is usually based off the surface that the arrow rests on(bottom of shaft). Whether it be shelf, hair, feather,  elevated plastic or whatever you use.

What Bvas says. That's the way I set mine up, top of feathers were the shaft rides. Got that straight fro Trap who makes them.

Your first sighting of the nockset may be temporary as it may move as you tune. I use toothbrushes for rests and go from ther 'top' as bvas indicated
