Treestand Color

I am always searching for the right color to repaint my stands so that are less likely to be seen by game.  And other individuals that want to want it more than I do.  I have been using grey and back for the most part but have been some pale green in lately.  Lets see pics of your favorite.

I add flat white random stripes--over a light olive/grey
and stopped using black

I used to work for a treestand manufacturer (Bear River/USL Products)-and we did some tests on best colors - from white to black to fluorescent orange and found that there was virtually no difference in deer or bear detection based upon color... the biggest issue was reflection/sheen.
We ended up sticking with flat black-textured paint as the best overall finish. Had nothing to do with cost, etc., just the most effective overall finish...

With this in mind, I'd probably recommend using colors that were most similar to the bark of the types of trees that it will be hanging from.  This may make it blend marginally better with the landscape and therefore make it less likely to be spotted by other hunters nearby.

I tend to use the Predator format, breaking up the shape of the stand ( or ladder) with big blotches of contrasting colors.

I paint my stands mostly for protection from thee Kent's and to conceal them from other hunters.  I don't think the deer care much about them as long as their not moving or smell like humans.  
I do brush them to help break them up and often add brush behind the stand to help conceal myself

I kind of like the terratone color, sort of a combination of olive and brown.  Like to work in some black and light gray as well.

I have always used flat black, green, and brown splotches. They work well and don't reflect brightly, so they don't draw attention.

I agree with Rando.  Metal surfaces that are reflecting a lot of light will draw more attention than the color of the stand.

I sure wish someone would come out with a color that's closer to tree bark.  I have looked around and to get what i liked in the past I had to mix colors and use a brush.  Just didn't think it was worth the effort so just went back to the black and grey with the spray can.
