Welcome Kenny!

Weasel, that's pretty funny right there. Wonder what they'd think about a group of us chasing squirrels with Trad gear. Might make the news.

We use to meet at friend's farm in South Ga in 90's and they would host a squirrel bow shoot. They have been doing it for many years.. The Eddie Campbells.. They are EXPERIENCED bow tree rat killers.. They ONLY used broadheads. I have been several times and BH is only way to go but..........to educate Fed or State....good luck... Snuffer with a blunt type point is devestating

MsTrad Bowhunters!!   current status.

This is going to happen! ( Hunt Camp)

I need 2 weeks to figure out how to get website unlocked for new members. I am an old plywood salesman and barely know difference between Facebook and Junglebook!!! Site's last administrator did everything. ( i should have been more involved). So i got to call/email contact who  actually owns the webiste and unlock it with new passwords!!!!   i rather gut a cape buffalo with fingernail clippers than do this!  But I'm excited about new interest and lets light this candle.

I made a call in to St. Catherine, spoke with Julie. I explained what we as a group are wanting to do and the mission of the MS Trad club etc...

Explained our intent to hunt "hogs" during small game season in February.

Explained that we wanted to do what's right legally and ethically, but the state regulations on "no broad heads" places a restriction on us and the states desire to exterminate hogs.

I ask if we could possibly get an exemption or some latitude to use broad heads.

She is consulting others to see if they will. Will contact me later

Rules are rules pal!   :readit:  Surely you didn't think you could usurp the letter of the law based on your merits as Supreme leader. You simply cant expect the same respect shown by your subordinates on the frog team pal. You might consider the usual Turkey season approach if you wanna post deer season venture.

Scout,

I chose to speak with "Julie" after reviewing their personnel directory, as I thought I'd have a better chance to use my keen wit and charm on the feminine persuasion   :D

It was working great until she wanted to consult with her co-worker "Nathan" .

It turns out "Nathan" was as stubborn as you and the rest of the F.R.O.G team

Just a word of advice...the more you all talk about a hunting area ONLINE, the more people can easily find the places you are wanting to keep "secret".

Mike, I couldn't agree more. Back that talk up with some good pictures and you'll surely see it over run. There are a few places in Ms. that are flocked with resident and non resident hunters because of over publicizing.

If it were me, I would petition the TG Administration (Terry/Rob) to set up a Tab in the Traditional Club section for all who are interested in this hunt.  This way, your discussions would be private and only for club members, and 2nd, I would ask TG Admin to either move this thread to the new Tab, or remove it completely, to get this info gone.

Just my .01, seeing as .02 would cost me to much.

Thanks Mike. I'll email Terry Green and ask him to do that for us.
