Arrow tuning

Been doing some paper tuning on my new to me Chinook. I have a pretty consistent nock high that doesn't change much no matter what I've tried. I get it with my Kwyk Styk also and I'm wondering if anyone has seen a stiff arrow cause this or is it just plain form issue? I'm shooting 47@28 with 26.5" draw. Arrows are gold tip blem .500 cut to 28" with a 2" aluminum footing and 175 grain point and standard insert. Thought I had read somewhere that someone might have had same problem but can't seem to find it anywhere now. Thanks

1.Raise the nock point high and work down.
2.I do not know what you are using for a shelf rug, but try to limit the arrow contact.  I have used a wooden match under the shelf material, or even just a small piece of felt that you put on the legs of furniture to keep from scratching hardwood floors.

You could be getting a high kick from too much shelf contact.

How is your nock fit? I get nock high issues if it is too tight sometimes with new nock. A few passes with sand paper will help. Also if you shoot split you may have an issue with uneven finger pressure, Too much on my bottom finger will give me nock high

I actually did put a piece of felt under rest to raise it up but had no effect on arrow flight. My nocks seem to fit well they fall off string with just a tap when pointed downward. Could just be the way I'm shooting the bow but thought I'd read it somewhere hat a stiff arrow could cause that but not sure.

Nick, I have seen an over spined arrow cause nock low several times.  There are several things that can cause nock high.  An overly high draw arm elbow is one of the main causes.

High elbow X2, also sometimes too much pressure on top or bottom string finger.

I had the same problem, tried everything to fix it. Finally tried three under, adjusted mock point for it and that cured my tail high tear. I started getting perfect arrowflight. I didn't like the increase in bow noise at first but was told by a few people that if it will quieten down after a couple weeks, and it did.

I always seem to have nock high when bare shafting with heavier shafts/lighter tips. Aluminum or carbon. But lighter shaft/heavier tip (more FOC), I don't have this problem. Strange, but I would think if anything, it would be the other way around...?

Experimented a little bit tonight shooting 3 under and seemed to get rid of almost all of my nock high issue. Only problem I noticed was when I went to shoot at a target normally at 10 yards my point of impact was low by about 8" or so. Is that normal when going from split to 3 under? Arrows seemed to be flying perfect just a little low. I'm sure that would change with practice just wondering if that is normal. Thanks

It was for me, I just changed anchor from middle finger in corner of mouth to index finger and it fixed that

I've always anchored with my index finger either way so might just have to adapt
