I roll my own strings I use b-50 material I have played with different loop serving material. I have used everything from nylon to diamond back braid. I don't know if I should only use the soft nylon stuff I change my strings every year. I this point using longbow only so string don't touch limbs. Just wanted to know if any one else had ever had this happen.

My theory is using tough braid on loop serving is what caused this damage. But would like other opinions.
