Folks,
I have had alot of luck with the moon phases (as they relate to deer movement), and believe there is some validity to them. But, having recently moved back to the coast (Chesapeake, VA) Im hunting tidal areas, and am finding the tides to play a big part in the equasion as well. Anybody have any thoughts on how the tide affects deer movement? Other than them just not wanting to get there feet wet please!

I hunt coastal GA. If you are right on the coast it can effect where they are comfortable moving. Other than them not wanting to walk through water, I haven't seen the effect. A rutting buck doesn't care, and will swim without reservation. Sometimes the deer will feed in the marsh when the tide is out.

In my area they are run by hounds which is fine, but about a month or so into gun season and you can find em beddin on the marsh lumps. Guess it keeps the hounds off.
Moon?? I not sure I just hunt any day I get a chance. I see that most WT wil swim period without question.
Sorry couldn't help more
