Georgia Hog Hunt Year 3
« on: December 12, 2018, 06:18:02 PM »
I am planning on my annual Georgia hog hunt, the first year I went to Cohutta WMA, what can I say about the beauty. The second year I went to Chickasawhatchee WMA, another beautiful Georgia WMA, but after reading on here that the TBG changed their annual hunt because of the damage to Chickasawhatchee from the hurricane, I decided to find another Georgia WMA to hunt and have decided to try Ocmulgee or Oaky Woods, I am planning on leaving this Friday for a weekend scouting trip, and then returning sometime later in January or February for a longer hunt. You guys in Georgia are blessed!

That's funny, I am headed up to IN this weekend to bowhunt deer.

Kenny, why don't you just join the TBG gang at Ft Stewart?  It's a cool place and you can meet some great trad bowhunters there, make some connections.  I met deer/hog/turkey bowhunter RC at my very first TBG hunt and that led to many hunts together in GA.  Also met PBSer Matt Shuster on that same hunt and we're still buddies, dispite his habit of mooching meals every time we are in camp together.  Do it, I promise you won't regret it.

Kenny, I'm hosting a hog hunt for PBS members in coastal GA at the end of January myself, along with NightStalker here on TradGang, and would invite you to join the PBS and my hunt, but it's already full.  Something to consider for the future, unless you prefer solo hunts.  There's a thread about it on the PBS web site.
