Ron Foley retiring

Just wanted to pass on the sad news that Ron Foley has decided to retire from making bows. Ron made an excellent bow and was always a pleasure to deal with. In addition to being a excellent bowyer he is also a great person who I'm proud to call friend. I wish him well on whatever he decides to do next.

He came to a couple of our shoots here in LA. Takes a special man to drive as far as he did for a shoot as small as ours. I always love conversing with him. I may need to snag a bow of his before they're all gone!

Ron builds a fine stick! RMS Gear deals for him and has quite a selection of his bows for anyone interested.

I won the Compton Dream Raffle back in 2009. Ron made me these two fine matching bows-a one piece and three piece longbow-as the main raffle prize. He is a super bowyer and an upstanding man. It is my pleasure to have worked with him and call him a friend. Hopefully he'll continue to be active in some shoots and banquets.

Nice guy talked to him a couple times on the phone, owned one of his T/D recurves, very fast and easy to shoot.. one of the guys at my archery shop finally got me to sell it to him after he shot it and loved it.
