Glad to be a Michigander when deer season rolls around. Everyone wants to go to Ohio,Iowa, Illinois...etc to chase big bucks. But we can still produce 120" deer. Know of a couple near me already harvested this year. And the deer per mile ratio is far greater than most other states. I believe we are in the top 5 if I remember correctly. There is no where else I'd rather chase whitetails!

I am in the Baldwin area.  Lots of public ground and many hunters practicing APRs even if they're not in one of the mandated counties.

Everytime you Michigan fellers take about home I get homesick.

Hunted the Baldwin/Bitely area for more than 15 years with my brothers.  Happy times - great memories for sure...

There's no better season than hunting season in Northern Michigan!!!!  Second year without my Dad, miss him dearly, and am glad he took the time to fuel my bow hunting fire.
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

Just something about it....  Will forever be my roots even though I've been to IL & IA.

Hunted near Baldwin for years back in the '90s. Killed my first deer ever there after trying for a few seasons. Love it up there, also Free Soil, Manistee, Irons, Luther and Chase to name a few places I've enjoyed hunting over the years.

I grew up fishing the tribs of the Big Man up in that area.  Beautiful country!!
