These G.K. broadheads are based on the Goshawk broadheads of the 50s and 60s. tradgangs own Falk had something to do with their been made. Maybe he will chime in and tell us the whole story.
Great video and an almost perfect shot Buff.

I first read about them here on Trad Gang. I shoot a heavy bow and had been using the 1-9/16" Zephyr heads. When I saw a picture of the super sized GK heads... I just had to have some.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Absolutely beautiful (both the wound and the broadhead)...

In some states I thought it was illegal to use heads wider than 1.5". I believe that is the case here in NH....what about other states?

Out of curiosity, I checked Virginia, Maryland, New Hampshire, and Texas.

All four states require broadheads with a minimum width of 7/8 inches.

VA, MD, & TX's regulations do not mention any maximum size.

NH regulations do specify a maximum width of 1 1/2 inches.

I really enjoyed the video, especially the six pointer checking the does.  Congrats and thanks for sharing.

awesome video, great editing job.

Those heads look neat.

But boy that head really turned at impact.  I'd be concerned shooting these with a regular weight bow on anything bigger then whitetail, theys BIG  ;) .   Really has my motors working why it turned like that though.  On impact, notice the feathers kick high and slightly right, pointing the head down to the ground.  That arrow is turnd just a fraction before she dropped.   Put it in slow mo when it goes into slow mo on the vid and you'll see what I mean.....definatly interesting.
