A slightly better photo of the deer that approached from down wind. Just before they winded me. Last time I was her I had a little buck at 10 yards and could have taken better photos.

Nice bow, lovely model. She has a kind smile.  Looks like you got a good one!

Thanks for taking us along on your hunt.

Totally agree about the Kanati.

I wish the photos of the deer turned out better. Anyhow, here are some more photos on the Kanati if you are interested in seeing them. I think I figured out how to order a nice looking bow...where the order form says "wood choice" I put bowyers preference! Actually for this one I think I did ask for the Gray Diamond wood but said to use his preference for the limb material. (I have a Javaman and for both the riser and limbs I said Boywer's preference, and man does that thing look nice)
I'm really happy with the Kanati and could not give it a better review. I killed 3 deer with it since it arrived in September. Not only is it sharp to look at, I think it is a better hunting bow than any I have ever used.
After carrying it a season I ordered a second one.
Here is an un-stung  and strung profile

Another item that works really good and looks good are the Black Eagle Vintage arrow shafts. I dipped and crested these with Fletchlaq. These shafts have a good GPI that allows lots of options for point weights. Mine are .350 spine, with 50 gr brass insert and 250 gr head.
The woodgrain color is light and shows up in low light for those of use that need to see the arrow to point it at a deer. I am a fan of tapered arrows and go back and forth between these BE and Arrow Dynamics. And wood too. The Kanati seems to like them all.
