Good Questions...having built bows in the past I can venture a guess:

In order to be competitive I suspect they need to limit production to standard limb core with opaque glass.

Exotic limb skins are purdy but require clear glass to show the beauty.  Clear glass is  generally "streaky" and will detract from the intended "look".  At best its a gamble and when you are competing for a dollar its not a risk worth taking.

Perhaps our Sponsors can give their opinions...

I would agree with Mr. Tony. It does take more skill and time picking the veneers as an example. Streaky glass would mean lots more warranties as well. Maybe if they had a custom shop but that means skilled labor for a limited part of Bear’s business.

They do on the latest Limited edition TD. Notice there's a commensurate increase in price.  I'm perfectly satisfied with the black glass limbs

Brandon Stahl used to make some nice Bear limbs.

There has to be a cost issue......pretty lams are pricey. For hunting in most cases it's hard to beat black........

Bear is not a custom shop, they are more a big box shop.  I think there are a few bowyers making after market limbs for Bear risers though that could do what you want.  You will pay for the pretty though.
