Eberhart books?

I'm looking for a good winter read/resource book. If you had to have just one which one would be the most beneficial for the trad hunter?

Sorry, but until this post I had never heard of Mr. Eberhart. I'll watch this post to become more enlightened.   :campfire:

From what i've read and learned in the last 2 to 3 weeks looking into using a tree saddle system for hunting, Mr. Eberhart is considered the father of such hunting method, and an expert on late season pressured whitetails.
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

I have his 2 dvd set " hunting pressured whitetails" very informative.  The only thing they do thats not for me is how high they set up in the tree.

He writes about tactics for hunting whitetail deer in high hunter states like Michigan. He’s a big proponent of scent lock but also scent free procedures in general as well as having large numbers of stand sites prepared by late spring so you don’t taint an area until you go in to hunt it. Also staying out of prime areas until the rut is on. Certainly a good read and his results are impressive for hunting a state like Michigan with its two buck limit and rifle season in the rut.
