First let me apologize from not visiting much, since I broke my foot, hunting has become second place to a few other things.. However as they say, you can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy.. Blood still pumps trad bow hunting... I got into a conversation earlier today about some of the writers who have had a big impact on hunting, and Bob McQuire came up.. I know he was the first to write about mock scrapping, and I think he was one of the first to write about grunt calls.. Said he would rub his thumb over his pocket comb.. Also made the comment that has stuck with me, as most hunters who profess to have 10 years experience, really just have one year repeated 10 times.. I know he wrote a couple books in the late 70's early 80's about deer hunting and bear hunting.. After that he seems to have dissappeared.. Does anyoone know if he is still kicking?
