Washington State supplies and shooting
« on: January 08, 2018, 09:08:00 PM »
Im working out here in Washington, Seattle area at Boeing Field.  It seems you need permits to harvest yew and other woods.  But I was interested in finding some oceanspray for arrows or maybe a selfbow.  Anyone got any leads?

Also, I wasnt able to bring a bow, and Renton Fish and Game Club doesnt have loaner/rental bows.  Anyone have any idea if there is a good range that offers this?  Or maybe ill just buy a cheap bow at Bass Pro.

Nocking Point Archery, Montlake Terrace district in Seattle, might have rentals.

Check online there are ranges open to the public like Kenmore (Wildlife Committee of Washington, Inc.), but without rentals. They have an outdoor field range, indoor range and target, in addition to their pistol, rifle and shotgun. Probably not rentals. Private club open to public.

there are others, check online.

Contact the department of forestry for wood harvest.

Look on Craigslist for a used Bow. Why not have someone ship your Bow to you?

Take a look at Skookum Archery in Puyallup for a spot to shoot. Also Flint Tip in Enumclaw and Tacoma Sportsmans Club

With all those places to shoot, don't take too much time off.   :archer:

Hud, I just have to hope for time off to shoot!  We arent exactly supposed to take time off when on a detachment.
