57 and still learning
« on: February 16, 2018, 11:19:00 PM »
I was traveling through a park this morning in central Florida and noticed a truck stopped in the opposite lane. As I got closer I saw what had the guys interest, it was a 4 point eating new growth off a Water oak tree. To think all those years I searched for acorns when scouting.   :banghead:

Never to old to learn, always be the student!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Yeah, guess it was the type browse I found intriguing. I make it a point to watch deer feed and just never saw em eat  oak leaves in my neck of the woods Gallberry tips, vines, briars, and various grasses.

Yep leaves are a large part of their diet but that was the first time I’ve seen a deer chow down on water oak it really surprised me
