My search for a backpack for the backcountry

My good friend Thom Jorgensen and I will be heading to Wyoming this fall to chase mulies and maybe a cow elk (we did not draw a bull tag) and this will be my first backcountry hunt. So I needed a pack that was up to the challenge. I documented the process I went to in my search and wrote an article about the journey. This is not a comparison but more of what I looked for being that I am not able to just walk into a store and try on one of these packs designed for hunting. Hopefully it will help someone else that might be looking for their first pack frame or maybe looking for a new one.

Good choice on your pack. I have an original Nomad and duplex frame and it works well for me.

Steve-
That was a great article. Good luck on your hunt!
