Easy Brace Height Check (Mike Griffith, Bruce Powers)
« on: April 11, 2003, 04:09:00 PM »
At a recent shoot I learned of an easy way to make tool for checking your brace height....

Just take a broken arrow {most of us have one}....Measure from inside the nock to length of your brace height, And cut It off....To check your brace height....Just nock the tool like an arrow and see if it passes buy your grip without touching....Easy to carry and make....

Most trad archers have some form of cresting on their arrows. I have a 1/4" crest on my arrows that the ideal brace height makes this crest centered on the front of the bow. This gives me 1/8" difference either way and a quick eye check while hunting.
