well heres some of my first woodies ive built, the specs are 55-60 maples, full length, used full lenght feathers which i cut to 5.35 inchs roughly, and trimmed to height with a pair of scisors...eyeballed of course, they fly awesome and i can watchem fly true out of my mahaska flatbow, ohhh yea the paintjob is krylon all the way with 1/8th inch masking tape used to stripe all burried in spray laquer, i love watchin em fly thats for sure

Very cool.Love the color combo.How do those maple shafts stand up? Ive sprayed many with rustoleum.Do yurself a favor and get a dip tube for your poly though.A quart of poly will last you a long time and they come out like glass.Good luck hunting.

they seem to hold up pretty good, fly like a dart hit like a truck, the shafts were free from a friend for me to try , ill let ya know when i kill with them

thanx, now i just need to get my first archery kill with them, ive made meat with a 12 guage, now for the hard way but rewarding way
