I'm thinking of trying a tab

I would like to get a tab for the summer shooting. I like the glove for hunting season for the added warmth but I was wondering if anyone out there uses those jersey gloves under a tab during hunting season. I would like a high end tab but one that smooth and not leather. If I can't really come up with a tab I like, I'm going to the americans leather glove. whatch ya'll think.

Switching to a tab sure cleaned up my release a whole lot.
I use a W&W 360 and have been very happy with it. I would like to get a Cavalier tab next to see if they are as nice as everyone says.
I would stick with cordovan, nomatter what you choose. It wears like iron and only gets slicker with use.

I like tab for all weather shooting.  its clean and refreshing and getting hard to find.  oh you meant a finger tab.....

I've thought about trying a tab so I'll be watching this thread.

Tab for me, been shooting one all my life. Afraid to switch now. However I can't shoot with a glove under mine. I keep my hand in hand muff when it's cold.

I am currently using a NEET tab with superleather, and the felt finger spacer. The tab is very durable but I don't get a good feel of the string.

Anyone ever use the expensive skookum tab. I wonder if it's worth the $$$?

Tryed on a demascus glove the other day and it felt flimsy. Couldn't help but think these things will come apart during the summer months with sweating.

Switched to tab about 1980. Seemed I was always needing glove off for somthing and had heard of release benefits with tab. Tried a few and settled on one(maybe same) as LCB describes. When put on it just felt good. Couple years later get a cordovan from Screaming Eagle (Brunner) and he was right, smooth, slick, no curl. I realy like it. For cold, I cut the 3 fingers tips off the jersy glove.

I used a tab for many years, but have switched to a glove a few years ago. I was always loosing my tabs. With the glove, if it's not on my hand, it is on my bow.

I would like to find out where I can get some info on the Cavalier Tab. I've been seeing where many mention them, but can't find out where to purchase one. thanks

I've used a Saunders tab for a very long time now and I'm older than dirt!

I use an Earl Bateman cordovan 3 under tab.

If it's really nippy out, I use the tab over a damascus deerskin glove under a fleece glove with three fingers cut out.

LCB, 3rivers now has the cavalier tabs as well as Lancasters.  I prefer the Earl Bateman with finger seperator and made of cordovan.

My concern about using a tab is loss.  I have enough problems remembering my Binos, shoes, wallet.  I tried a tab and they sure seem to make for a snappy release but I figure if I can continue to improve with a glove I might as well keep to that.  Also I am using one of the new Full shot gloves that covers my palm.  I like the protection when I fall or crawl, I wear a light weight shotgunners glove on my bow hand for the same reason, seems when in the woods I like always having gloves on. JMHO
