Shooting progress

OK, I've been practicing every day since we started a thread along these lines. Thus far I'm back to 16 yards. At that distance I'm shooting 3" groups. What comes next? Do I stay at this distance till the groups get smaller or do I go ahead and move back and let them get smaller at a longer distance?

Rusty, It all depends on what YOU want from your shooting. If you want to shoot 3" farther away, then do that. I don't measure yardage. I just try different things and go for it. Have fun.

I think the only way to really get any better at shooting is to have some fun with it. Don't always limit yourself to one yardage. I agree with Jerry, have fun and go for it. Try something different.

My goal is to get better at longer ranges. Eventually I'd like to be able to shoot good groups at 30 yards and possibly beyond.

I agree with Jerry & JMar,
Also, while you practice at any given distance, I hope you are shooting at other differences building up your instinctive shooting abilities along the way to your goal.
