Nock high?
« on: April 16, 2007, 08:39:00 PM »
I hope I'm not being redundant but I've been paper testing my bow today and all I shot was nock high.
I'm shooting a Martin Hunter at 40lbs with a slight cant.

The arrows are right at 400gr with 125gr field points.

Martin recommends a brace height at 7" to 73/4" and I've tried 71/2 to 73/4 but nothing less then that.

I'm wondering if my field points are too heavy? Should I go buy 100gr? I cant think of what else I could be doing wrong.

Any advise?

When paper tuning or bareshaft tuning you should not cant the bow.  Try again holding the bow vertical, and see if the results change.
