Woodies Or Aluminum Based On These Weights

Trying to figure out which would be best without buying several dozen different arrow sizes. That I could shoot from these bows. I was thinking 2018's and for the #43 I'll just stick with the 2016. Woodies I'm completely lost, any help suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated. I would like to shoot a 30" shaft.

problem is all bows shoot differently.

It'd be nice to have a set or two fo arrows for all the bows, but realistically I dont see it happening.  Though you may not need a set for every bow, only trial and error will give you that answer.  

A 2016 spines out at 64lb spine I believe.   If you can find an alum that flies, you can cross reference it to wood pretty easily.

Good luck, I'm sure it's not the answer you wanted to hear.   Give it a shot, we both maybe pleasantly suprised.  

There are lots of factors that dictate what spine a bow and shooter will need.   I just ordered two more of the same bow I'm shooting now, hoping to get exactly what you are wanting, one bow that shoots 3 sets of arrows.  All 3 bows the exact same specs.  If nothing else I'll need 3 sets of arrows.    Only testing them all out will give you your answer.

oops, should read 3 bows, and 1 set of arrows, the other two are backups for the bow I'm shooting now.

AKDan said it perfectly, they all shoot differently.

My 68", 53# BBO I just finished will shoot my 61-65# Poplar and 66-70# Ipe shafts equally well.  My 50# Kodiak won't shoot anything but a shaft that is 51-55# spine.  Lots of different factors involved.

I agree with AKdan.

By choosing a "middle of the road" spine and using different weight points you should be able to narrow it down to just a few different spines for all the bows mentioned.  Might even be possible to get it down to one or two different shafts for all but the 43@29 Kmag.

Woodies - your bow weight - plus 5# for every inch over 28" - plus 5# for broadhead

ie.  50# bow & 30" arrow = 50 + 10 (2" over 28) + 5 (broadhead) = 65# spine

Bracket by buying 1 @ 60#, 1 @ 65#, 1 @ 70#, all fletched the same,  most arrowsmiths will do this for you.  See what shoots the best.

Shoot plenty of fletch, much more forgiving especially in hunting situations where for many reasons perfect form goes south.  I shoot 3 - 5.5" high back parabolics. Inside of 30 yards the only difference you'll notice is how well they stabilize your arrow.

Eliminate another variable by purchasing your arrows from a good builder.  Elite Arrows/Paul Jalon is a sponsor here and builds the best wood arrows I have ever shot.

I shoot a 60# @ 29" Robertson Prarie Falcon recurve and his barrel tapered lam birches 70# spine fletched like above fly like darts with Magnus I's.  Incredibly sweet arrows.
