My brother had the same problem. We figured he was putting too much pressure on his nock with his index finger, but no matter how he tried the bend would not go away. So finally he drew it back with three fingers under....and he still got a bend in the arrow. We chalked it up to demonic possession and learned to live with it.

Which direction is the arrow bending?  I've seen people manage to bend lightly spined arrows by curling their fingers during the draw.  Try taking a deep hook and then keeping the back of the hand flat.

Hi John at the Hill shoot a friend noticed that there was a substantial bend down in my arrow when at full draw posted this on archery talk awhile back faily new to this site lots of good feedback tried dropping index off at full draw
tried moving finger up a little at full draw
deep hook helps some even with the bend i seem to get good arrow flight thanks Ralph.

A downward bend is fairly common.  The shape of the bow's grip area and the pressure point on the bow hand can contribute.  Downward pressure can also occur due if the wrist of your draw arm is bend downwards and you apply more pressure with you middle and third finger.  I tend to have this problem because I have a downward bend in my wrist in order to hit my anchor point at the corner of the mouth.  I have decided to live with this problem rather than change my anchor.  I guess my bad form is consistent because I do not see any problems with arrow flight.  Watch out for any horizontal bend in the arrow.  I have a friend who has not been able to correct this problem.  He grips the bow and applies torque which causes inconsisteny in windage and often causes the string to hit his arm.

would a deeper grip handle help grip torque or a open hand or loose grip my Lee curve has a neutral grip which i tend to grip out to the side
probably from my low brace compound days.

To prevent torque, the pressure point on your hand should be dead center on the bow.  Some archers try to provide clearance and prevent the string from hitting the arm by gripping towards the thumb.  This can actually make the situation worse.  I use an open hand with a leather wrist strap.  I don't think a deaper grip handle would help and I suspect that would tend to induce more up-down torque.  Try a longbow with a straight grip and see if the arrow bend is gone.
