Elbow Pain
« on: August 09, 2007, 10:56:00 AM »
I have been looking at the threads and diagrams JC and Terry have posted abouy shooting form. I know mine was way out of kilter, so I changed a few things.

1. Started shooting blank target at about three yards.

2.  Made sure my bow shoulder pointed toward the blank with my feet about 90 degrees to target.

3.  Focused on back tension more, my back muscles (or lack there of) are sore.  so I think I accomplished that.

4. Made sure I used a relaxed grip w/ 45 degree angle.

???? One big question...why did my bow arm elbw get sore?

elbow feels fine now...my bow shoulder hurt some too while shooting, but doesnt hurt at this point.  Maybe it has to do with the fact that I have only been back to shooting for about a week.
Finally have a place to shoot, since we moved!!

Muscles not used for a while -- or not at all -- tend to get sore when they are used. Nothing to worry about, unless it persists.
