aiming method materials books dvd's
« on: January 22, 2008, 01:41:00 AM »
G'day everyone,

I am in the process of increasing my library and understanding of the different aiming methods out there, specifically barebow. I have been doing this, archery, for quite a while now and am a competent shot with the bow. I want to do some quality experimenting with different styles. I have been using my current style now fairly consistantly for about 30 odd years so don't feel it would be permanantly or seriously tainted by the experimentation. eg My aiming method basically remains the same whether I use my longbow, recurve or compound. Just slight variations in form. etc etc.

I am not looking for any easy fix as I think this sport encompasses the most essential ingredient to an activity that allows it to be a lifetime pursuit and passion. EASY TO LEARN< HARD TO MASTER. I've seen and met some Masters but am not one yet myself.

Anyway in my search for material I came across an ad ? a couple of weeks ago where an archer made claim that the aiming method being taught or discussed was so devastating/ accurate that 2 new class or shooting divisions had been created to cater for it. Now I have been racking my brain to remember where I had seen this, and who or what was the archer/product. Can anybody help.

Cheers

the archer is scott antczak.  the video is called dead on traditional.  i own it but there are definently better videos out there.  i would suggest both of the masters of barebow vids and modern traditional.  there is enough material in these three vids about aiming to keep you busy forever.

Thanks very much for the reply CJC. Yes browsing I came across both of those others you mention. They did look comprehensive with like you say plenty to play with. Thanks for the heads-up on them.

Cheers mate
