Horn TD Movin up
« on: March 20, 2008, 09:45:00 PM »
I have a horn takedown Recurve and im switching limbs from 54# to 68# at 28in. arrow length 29 1/2 in. I would like to have an extreme FOC  arrow combination around 700 grains. Does anybody have any suggestions for a starting point for a carbon set up that might tune well?

You could use Carbon express in the 55/70 spine relm, I don't know the number 200 or 300? use a weight tube, 100 grain insert and 100 grain adapter with your favorite broadhead, should be close. I don't shoot that heavy as I only shoot 54#, butt he above combo should get you close

Thanks Richard. I'll take your advice and give it a shot. I have serveral types of shafts, i know that weight foward changes shaft spine, this much weight forward is new to me. I have another question, since i switched limbs, i get a clicking sound every now and then when i draw back. Have you ever expericened this? The limbs are brand new.
