Glove/Tab/ impact not the same?
« on: April 01, 2008, 06:20:00 PM »
I go back and forth from tab to glove, trying to get an edge on these sharp shooters around here. Damascass glove and blackwidow hair tab. I really can't tell much of a differance. Some days the glove out shoots the tab and some days the other way.  A friend made me a cordavan tab and I can shoot a knot out to 30yds. the problem is that the knot is about a foot left. I'm right handed. What gives? Don

It has to do with the placement of your anchor in relation to its distance from your face.  Obviously, the tab puts the string farther from your face when you anchor, thus you shoot left.  I never hit the same place with a tab as I do with a glove.  If you feel the shot quality is better with the tab, I'd stay with it; your computer (head) will adjust eventually.  Paul.

I actually get the string closer to my face with a tab.  Always shot a glove with inserts and had problems shooting left.  I kind of switched back and forth like you and finally had to just pick one.  That was about 3 years ago and I am right handed also.  Good luck.  Cade
