i shoot a bob lee stick 53 @28 and 2216 fly awesome. i see a lot of trad shooters use 2216. about split vs. 3 under its a battle ive fought for a while. i have tried both and 3 under seems to be easier for a smooth release. i should say 3 under is the best, especially for a new shooter but i like split just because it feels more natural to me and im caught up on the fact that all the legends, Bear, Pearson, Hill, ect.  shot split. i guess you just have to do what feels the best to you. ask 10 people and you'll probably get 10 different answers. just have fun. oh, and yes split and 3 under have different knock points(if that is what tiller settings mean.)

Tiller is a measurement of the distance between the bowstring and the bow at the top and bottom of the riser.  A bowyer will generally ask if you want to shoot 3fingers under or split fingers, because he will adjust the bow tiller accordingly when he makes the bow.  Or, on a bow with adjustable tiller, you can change the tiller setting yourself.  You may find that a bow shoots fine either way, or you may find that it shoots better one way or the other.  If I were buying a used bow, I would try to find out whether it was made for split-fingers or 3 under.

Yep, Used to do that and will still lean toward zero if I know it'll be shot 3 under. With lots of testing and experimenting as long as there isn't too much tiller, it makes no difference at all that a 1/16" nock point change won't cure. Other then that it's just personal choice.....O.L.
