Bow Hand Jump
« on: October 12, 2008, 07:48:00 PM »
When i shoot my bow hand (my left) jumps up about an inch to three inches. I don't know if it is a form of target panic or what. I figure that it is my mind doing what it thinks it should to get the arrow to the spot i am looking when my body thinks it is going to hit the spot i am looking at. do you know what i mean? I usually hit the spot I am aiming at but it is wierd for my hand to do that. any thoughts would help.

I know what you mean. I used to have a tendency to do the same thing as part of target panic. I used to lock up just below the target and at release my hand would jump up. Sometimes it would not be detrimental but more often than not, it would result in a miss.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.
