Here is a neck pouch that I made to carry mine. Rides on my chest inside my jacket - totally out of the way, yet I can reach it easily. Plus it keeps the camera nice and warm for better battery life and no condensation problems.

I carry a disposable camera in the same zip loc bag as my field dressing stuff (knives, rubber gloves, T.P. and a pen for filling out the tag)
